About this project

Districts for Dignity™: The Period Games is a youth-led service initiative created by the PATESI Foundation that brings high school students together to address menstrual and postpartum poverty through education, advocacy, leadership, male ally-ship, and community service. In recognition of the 9/11 National Day of Service, students will turn awareness into action through friendly competition, emergency menstrual kit assembly, community engagement, and a Menstrual Poverty Awareness Walk. The initiative empowers young people of all genders to become leaders and advocates while helping provide essential products to individuals and families in need. Volunteers are essential to making Districts for Dignity™ possible. From welcoming and guiding participants to supporting student teams, organizing donations, assisting with the Awareness Walk, and keeping the event running smoothly, volunteers help create a safe, organized, energetic, and meaningful experience for everyone involved. By giving their time, volunteers aren't simply helping with an event—they are standing alongside young people, strengthening their community, and helping turn compassion into action and dignity into impact.
